Our Wedding

If it wasn’t for Covid in 2020, Browny and Jamie would never have met. Browny had just moved back from the US, and Jamie was all set to do a move to LA. In March 2020 the world shut down, Jamie wasn’t moving to America and Browny was no longer going to be on the road with the Circus.&nbsp; Fast forward a few months, and the bars of Manly reopened. Some awkward socially distanced drinking was happening at the Wharf Bar, and Brown, Barnes, Miller and Irish were 4 of 17 people sitting in the pub when it was suggested by Miller to Browny that Barnesy’s ex room mate Jamie and Brown could be a match. So Browny did what was socially acceptable in this day and age, and slid into her Instagram DM’s. Jamie, of course started some social stalking and after discovering a some rather random content videos on Nathans Facebook page, reluctantly agreed to meet, but not until she had moved from her Dee Why apartment to a new house in Manly. With patience not being Browny’s best character trait, he suggested that&nbsp;we make the first date a moving date. Jamie reluctantly agreed and suggested Browny come down and help her with moving “a few pot plants”, the repair of the ceiling fan and removal of TV and the wall a bracket. The plants were not going to be a problem, but for the pencil pusher Brown, the fan and TV were going to be insurmountable jobs. Was this over before it began? 21 years in live events and crisis management prepared Browny for this day, and he did the unthinkable, he brought his best mate and room mate Irish to the first date, with Irish taking care of the fan and TV whilst Browny focused on moving Jamie’s “few pot plants” to Manly. If you know green thumb Jamie you will know a few means more than a few, and Browny proceeded to move her Amazon forest, which was responsible for 10% of the world’s oxygen supply, to Manly, which took him 3 business days. It was Browny's commitment to the job of plant moving and hilarious sense of humour that won Jamie's heart. A lot has happened since that ridiculous first date, most of which will be saved for the 57 minute grooms speech, so we will spare those details for now. 5 years, 2 kids and a move to the North Coast, where the soon to be Brown's have built their perfect little life. What better place to celebrate the commitment to each other 'officially', then at the place Nathan proposed to Jamie on January 17th, with their most important people.
